After completing the programme, the student shall have knowledge of: 1. Planning and design of HVAC systems 2. Efficient energy use in HVAC systems 3. Protection requirements for HVAC systems (including fire and 'Säker Vatten') 4. Preparing tenders and technical descriptions 5. Balancing of distribution systems 6. Design using CAD 7. Project management 8. Construction contract law, and the laws and ordinances that regulate construction in Sweden 9. Communication After completing the programme, the student shall have the skills to: 1. Determine climate parameters and dimension terminal equipment 2. Give stated requirements a technical design so that the requirements are met 3. Dimension central equipment 4. Dimension distribution systems and carry out noise calculations for duct systems 5. Dimension heat recovery equipment 6. Make cost estimates and prepare tender documentation 7. Draw up operating and maintenance instructions for heating, cooling and ventilation systems 8. Work with CAD technology 9. Present and adapt their message in Swedish and/or English based on the recipient's needs After completing the programme, the student shall have the competence to: 1. Be responsible for an HVAC project, both design and installation work 2. Understand the interaction between the building and the HVAC systems 3. Handle control and regulation systems 4. Draw up HVAC drawings 5. Carry out an energy survey with accompanying efficiency proposals 6. Carry out measurements common in the industry and analyse them 7. Master sales in the technical field 8. Master the entire process, from design to property management 9. Communicate in writing and orally according to the recipient's needs 10. Independently draw up and revise contracts so that they are fit for purpose
