IT Security Technician.

After completing the programme, the student shall have knowledge of: - Specialised knowledge, both theoretical and practical, of IT security systems, as well as knowledge of penetration testing and security verification. - Specialised theoretical knowledge of IT law. - Theoretical and practical knowledge of cloud security, virtual system security and its deployment. - Knowledge and an overview of adjacent professional and competence areas, such as EU regulations, project management and ways of working. - Knowledge of work processes and quality criteria within theoretical and practical knowledge of data breaches and security work in the professional role of IT security technician. After completing the programme, the student shall have the skills to: - Plan, identify, analyse and manage IT security risks and resources in order to carry out specialised tasks with IT security systems in the professional role of IT security technician. - Plan, carry out and identify resources in order to carry out specialised tasks in the implementation, management and troubleshooting of different connection protocols in different networks in the professional role of IT security technician. - Plan, identify and carry out complex tasks, such as troubleshooting networks, configuring virtual systems and implementing the security policy, in the professional role of IT security technician. - Solve complex problems and carry out incident management plans, policies and routines, and be able to act independently and professionally in the professional role of IT security technician. - Communicate commitments and solutions regarding IT security, threats and solutions in the professional role of IT security technician in both Swedish and English. After completing the programme, the student shall have the competence to: - Independently handle theoretical and practical IT security systems in a way that leads to further learning and professional development in the professional role of IT security technician. - Monitor IT network security work and its systems and complete assigned projects in the professional role of IT security technician.
