The course is about creating and building IT infrastructures with high availability, the right capacity and good security. The course also covers the processes for getting the most performance out of an IT system, and how a platform for an IT infrastructure is built with servers and backup. The course shall provide sufficient knowledge to work in the role of IT security specialist with virtualisation, allocating a computer's resources to several simultaneous applications and finding vulnerabilities in the infrastructure. The course also deals with various practical tools and methods and includes the following components: PC virtualisation, server virtualisation, data virtualisation, application virtualisation, other virtualisation platforms and server operating systems. Furthermore, the course deals with the history of IT security (IBM, 7044/44M, System, System P etc.).
