Surveying Technician.

After completing the programme, the student will have knowledge of: - Work environment and safety; authorisation to work on roads and at height - Geodetic surveying methods and their measuring instruments - CAD, BIM, GIS - The construction process and building construction technology - Laser scanning, UAV/UAS, aerial photography - Mathematical concepts in the professional field - English terms in the professional field - Ground and civil engineering - Technical drawing After completing the programme, the student will have the skills to: - Carry out work on roads and at height according to rules and laws - Handle measuring instruments, and carry out and plan geodetic surveys - Understand and interpret data from BIM - Collect and store data in GIS - Understand the construction process and building construction technology - Use various systems to manage, process and refine survey data - Understand the basics of ground and civil engineering - Apply common mathematical concepts - Read and interpret drawings After completing the programme, the student will have the competence to: - Take responsibility for and plan daily work according to applicable work environment and safety regulations - Process and analyse collected geodetic data and present proposals for surveying problems - Interpret, analyse and present the results from CAD - Process and analyse data in GIS - Lead surveying work in the construction process - Plan, carry out and evaluate aerial photography and UAV/UAS, and interpret the images and store the collected data - Analyse and interpret mathematical calculations and results - Interpret, analyse and troubleshoot drawings
