Course Energi20 Environmental certification and sustainability.

The purpose of the course is to give the student knowledge of different types of environmental certifications and sustainability, as well as of the actors active in the field. The goal is that, after completing the course, the student will be able to explain the concept of sustainability and know the laws and rules that govern the energy sector from an environmental perspective. The approved student has knowledge of - Environmental certifications and green buildings, for example Miljöbyggnad, Svanen, LEED, FEBY, Well and BREEAM - Legislation, directives, regulations and policy instruments - Current and future challenges in energy and sustainability - Leading actors in the field, for example the EU, Energimyndigheten, Boverket, Sveby and SGBC - Hazardous substances and hazardous waste The approved student has the skills to - Explain different types of environmental certifications and green buildings - Interpret laws, directives and regulations in the field The approved student has the competence to - Provide advice on certification matters - Reason about the concept of sustainability and adapt their work to developments in the field
