Course ANG20 Project Finance and Construction Contract Law.

The purpose of the course is for students to gain insight into construction contract law and different forms of contracting, as well as the laws and regulations that affect construction projects. Students should also develop skills in forecasting and have knowledge of tools for handling changes in costs. The goal of the course is for students to be able to lead the work with knowledge of legal agreements and with financial insight. The approved student has knowledge of - Construction contract law, standard agreements - Forms of contracting and agreements - AMA (general material and work specifications) - Cost estimation and quantity take-off - Understanding of forecasting - Time reporting - ÄTA (changes, additions and deductions) - Laws, regulations and rules: BBR (Boverket's building regulations), PBL (the Planning and Building Act), LOU (the Public Procurement Act) - Understanding of project finance The approved student has the skills to - Have knowledge of standard agreements, for example AB04, ABT06 - Collaborate with subcontractors and interpret agreements. - Work with the general material and work specifications (AMA) and interpret rules referred to in construction contracts - Handle quantity take-off and make cost estimates for minor additional work - Produce data for forecasting - Handle account structures, reconcile accounts against contracts, and assess and notify when needed - Report time - Handle ÄTA documentation and give notice of changes and increased costs, handle FS - Search for and interpret information in laws, regulations and rules: BBR, PBL, LOU The approved student has the competence to - Lead employees toward set goals with knowledge of and regard for legal guidelines and financial conditions
