The purpose of the course is for students to learn statistical programming languages and their connection to machine learning. Students should also gain an understanding of how machine learning is used in the industry. The goal is for students to be able to apply statistical models and visualize data. Students should also be familiar with definitions in programming, definitions of procedures and the generation of data. The approved student has knowledge of - Statistical programming and the most common and current statistical programming languages (e.g. R and Python) - Machine learning models commonly found on the market - Visualization of data using R or Python - Current developments in the Business Intelligence field The approved student has the skills to - Create programs in the R and/or Python programming language, and choose suitable functions for a project The approved student has the competence to - Apply statistical models and graphically visualize the results of statistical studies
