Civil Engineering Technician with BIM Competence.

After completing the programme, the student shall have knowledge of - drawings and document management - visualisation at every stage of design and facility management - the different levels, the potential and the future of BIM - project models and project methodology - community planning and land development, road and water design - the planning process for roads or railways - environmental impact assessment as part of the road or railway plan - energy efficiency and sustainable construction - the economic aspects of building and civil engineering projects After completing the programme, the student shall have the skills to - work with drawing reading, document management, interpretation of civil engineering data and follow-up - work with BIM systems to present structures with regard to terrain models and properties - work with project management, project administration and project planning - produce oral and written presentations - solve problems using physical reasoning and mathematical modelling. - process and evaluate data, graphs and results based on the choice of method and the problem. - design simple structures in the ultimate limit state - design structural solutions from a sustainability perspective After completing the programme, the student shall have the competences to - use a BIM system to draw up planning and construction documents and carry out area and volume calculations - carry out analyses from the early stages of the design process - visualise and simulate design, performance and cost, and improve design documentation - make design changes at all stages of the process - highlight the advantages of different design alternatives from performance and energy efficiency perspectives - streamline workflows by automating time-consuming tasks - master lighting and other conditions in the model used for landscape visualisation - create useful animations and visualisations with a timeline - work in a businesslike way in projects
