On completing the programme, the student will have knowledge of: - The different stages of the building process and how they relate to each other - The different areas of expertise in the design team and their partners - Building technology: projects and project management - BIM methodology - Communication systems and the conditions for interpersonal communication - Organisation and leadership - Drawing production - 3D CAD modelling: where, when and how 4D and 5D are involved in the modelling work On completing the programme, the student will have the skills to - Master BIM design and BIM coordination software - Plan the information structure throughout the construction and facility management process - Produce construction documents from BIM - Communicate orally and in writing with and between different professions in construction projects - Understand and take into account the factors that contribute to sustainable building - Create visualisations using BIM models - Assist with or take part in cost estimation On completing the programme, the student will have the competence to: - Work as a CAD/BIM designer at a construction, architecture or structural engineering company or other consultancy - Coordinate BIM in building design - Lead coordination meetings with different professions - Set IT frameworks for coordination projects - Support the design team with BIM software - Continue to acquire knowledge in the field - Price their own design - Assess their own competence and so understand when other competences should be brought in
