Advanced Purchasing and Procurement.

Description of the training's content Knowledge: - the purchasing organisation, private and public - world trade, the EU and regulations for cross-border trade within and outside the EU - accounting, budgeting and business cost calculation, and purchasing economics - electronic business communication and business English for purchasing and procurement - management concepts such as LEAN, TOC, JIT and TQM and what they mean - project methodology, theories in purchasing technique & purchasing law - sustainable purchasing Skills: - be able to analyse a company's financial status - be able to apply laws and regulations relevant to purchasing/procurement work - be able to analyse and map supply chains and apply management concepts in doing so - communicate, collaborate in and lead projects - apply theories of purchasing technique - use English in writing and speech in daily work - assess and address environmental impact and sustainability in daily work - be able to handle call-offs, delivery monitoring and recurring tasks in the purchasing process - be able to work as a buyer/procurement officer at operational, tactical and strategic level Competences: - be able to understand, master and control the purchasing and procurement processes - take responsibility for and be able to work with supply chain management, streamlining the supply chain - independently be able to analyse existing and potential suppliers and supplier markets, and take responsibility for developing the suppliers and the collaboration with them - independently be able to negotiate and sign contracts with suppliers - be able to drive/lead and collaborate in development projects both as participant and project manager - be able to build a career and develop within the profession to reach a position as purchasing manager/procurement manager
