Description of the content and goals of the programme On completion of the programme the student shall have knowledge of - The regulations of Finansinspektionen and InsureSec - Private insurance products within life and pension insurance - Health and accident insurance - Occupational pension insurance - Premium structure - Life insurance technique and life insurance law - Taxes relating to personal insurance, non-life insurance and companies - Non-life insurance - Liability insurance On completion of the programme the student shall have the skills to - Assess consumers' financial situation - Assess customers' risk situation and insurance needs - Sell insurance - Handle administration of payouts from life and pension insurance - Apply the relevant legal rules within finance and insurance - Know different methods for monitoring the wider market - Understand ethical questions tied to the professional role - Communicate with the customer - Work in and lead projects On completion of the programme the student shall have the competence to - Work as an Insurance Adviser, Claims Adjuster or Risk Assessor - Carry out needs analyses and risk assessments - Meet the regulations and requirements of Finansinspektionen - Follow and understand developments in the insurance industry - Put together insurance solutions for private individuals as well as companies - Work independently - Work towards set goals
