Advanced Diagnostics and Maintenance of Vehicles.

The course has given the student: Knowledge - Safety regulations and the work environment in the rail traffic system, including risk management and ergonomics. - Technical systems in rail vehicles, for example brake systems, door systems and power supply. - Diagnostic tools and analysis methods, including measurement technology, life cycle analysis (LCA) and life cycle cost (LCC). - Digital and electrical systems in rail vehicles, for example TCMS, ETCS, transformers and frequency converters. Skills - Carry out practical maintenance and advanced troubleshooting on rail vehicles. - Work with digital signals and data buses in vehicle control systems. - Interpret and use technical documentation such as diagrams, signal tables and analysis reports. - Handle chemicals and environmental requirements in a safe and sustainable way. - Apply methods for energy efficiency in vehicle operation. - Work safely in depots and track areas in accordance with safety and work environment requirements. Competences - Independently analyze and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, pneumatic and mechanical systems in rail vehicles. - Use measuring instruments, sensors and technical diagrams for diagnosis and analysis. - Carry out and document vehicle maintenance, for example brake replacement, inspections and analysis of measured values. - Work with system-based maintenance and contribute to efficient and sustainable vehicle operation. - Identify and prevent risks in the work environment and contribute to safety and quality in the work.
