The holder of this document has: Knowledge - Pathology and traumatology focused on prehospital emergency care. - Assessment, care and treatment in prehospital emergency care. - Prehospital medical technology equipment and other technical equipment in prehospital care. - Care and nursing of patients and relatives in prehospital care. - Working methods and teamwork in prehospital care and cooperation with other related services. - Specialized traffic knowledge from a prehospital perspective. - Documentation and guidelines that govern the work. - Quality work and development in the prehospital field and related fields such as SOS, rescue services, primary care and specialist care. - Statutes concerning prehospital and related fields. Infection, spread of infection and hygiene routines Skills - Independently identify, observe, assess and treat acute medical conditions in various areas. - Handle, assess and maintain medical technology equipment and other technical equipment in an ambulance. - Provide good and safe care and nursing based on the patient's needs, and inform and communicate in Swedish and English. - Independently take responsibility for the ambulance being operationally reliable. - Drive the ambulance in a safe and secure way with regard to environmental and economy aspects. - Keep documentation in patient records and follow developments in the prehospital field. - Disinfect and clean the ambulance correctly and use available protective equipment and methods to prevent the spread of infection. - Work in teams with other healthcare staff and other organizations such as rescue services and police. - Have skills in a professional approach toward colleagues, patients, relatives and other actors. Competences - Independently act in acute medical situations based on science and proven experience. - Independently quality-assure and develop the field of ambulance care. - Act professionally and make quick decisions in stressful, threatening and unfamiliar situations and environments, both independently and in consultation with colleagues. - Objectively assess their own and the field's competences and limitations and act proactively on that basis. - Independently take part in and drive development work in the field of ambulance care.
