Course UX20 Design with others.

The purpose of the course is to give students knowledge and skills in working in design projects carried out in close collaboration with other people within the organisation. Students will learn how to communicate with and facilitate groups so that together they arrive at an innovative solution. Students will gain experience of a number of collaborative design methods and of the value of discussion and critique for improving a solution during an iterative process. The approved student has knowledge of - How to use hypotheses and assumptions in the design process. - Basic presentation technique. - Communicating design work clearly and effectively. - Facilitating collaborative design work both on site and remotely. - Creative innovation processes and their prerequisites. - Design critique and how it leads to group learning. The approved student has the skills to - Use hypotheses and assumptions about user needs to create testable hypotheses. - Facilitate groups to arrive at a solution to a problem together - Learn how to work with developers to implement a digital design. - Use idea generation, idea development, idea selection, design generation and validation together in a process to create good products/services. - Lead a design critique exercise to get feedback on a design. The approved student has the competence to - Adapt the project's target vision based on ongoing tests with users. - Determine the next step in the production process by testing and measuring the product's/service's MVP. - Determine which type of test is most suitable for increasing business value.
