Course description SUB-QUALIFICATION 1: How is the company performing today? Current situation The learning focuses on understanding, describing and analysing a company's business model and how the company generates profitability. What characterises the organisation, what distinguishes it from others and what makes it more or less successful. The aim is to train the ability to carry out a current state analysis. SUB-QUALIFICATION 2*: What is the company's business challenge? The gap between the current and the desired state The learning focuses on how the company chooses the future business opportunities that will form the basis of the operations and its business model. Changes in the outside world mean that a company with many businesses and products must repeatedly assess which products and businesses to invest in, keep or wind down. The learning also includes an understanding of how management works to steer the organisation towards high performance. SUB-QUALIFICATION 3: Business decision making The learning focuses on business decision making, independently and in groups. The independent work consists of carrying out a current state analysis of a company of your choice. The group work consists of running a business simulation in a dynamic and changing business environment where business outcomes must be interpreted and the strategy reconsidered. The learning covers deciding on a business strategy and measuring and following up success using various key figures, market reports and results reports. Scope: The course comprises about 400 hours, of which about 100 hours are teacher led. The remaining time includes time for self study (recommended time or more) and examinations.
