Programme description MODULE 1: Business value and preliminary study The learning focuses on mastering the initial phases of a project. These phases aim to estimate the scope of and requirements placed on the work included in the project and the value of the effects that arise when the project reaches its goal. This includes, among other things, practising the skills of producing an assignment description, stakeholder analyses and a current situation analysis. The learning also includes leadership training such as team building and communication skills. MODULE 2: Project control and implementation The learning focuses on developing the ability to plan, control and lead the implementation of a project. In addition to producing and carrying out a planning process, this includes being able to foresee the problems and risks a project may face. It also includes practising the ability to master variations in customers' requirements and needs as well as competition and changes in the outside world. The skill of handling various conflicts of goals and interests in the role of project manager is also practised, where different stakeholders' priorities and drivers within and outside the project need to be managed. MODULE 3: Planning an operational project The learning focuses on independently, in a group, designing and planning a business or operational project. The project work is carried out for an external client with a current assignment whose purpose is to achieve a desirable business benefit within some part of the organisation. Scope: The programme comprises approximately 400 hours, of which approximately 100 hours are teacher-led. The remaining time includes time for self-study (recommended time or more) and examinations.
