Occupational roles Occupational role 1: Operations technician, IT Occupational role 2: IT manager Occupational role 3: IT infrastructure specialist Occupational role 4: IT technician in cloud services Occupational role 5: Technical consultant, IT infrastructure The graduate has knowledge of: - Public and private clouds as well as IaaS and PaaS - Planning, design and operation of LAN, WAN and networks - Planning, installation, configuration and administration of Windows Server - Planning, design, installation, configuration and administration of Linux-based server systems - How DevOps and Infrastructure as Code are used for development, testing, implementation and operations, as well as an understanding of CI/CD - Programming for configuration and automation - IT security and modern threats - Identity management and collaboration services in the public cloud, e.g. M365 and public mail services The graduate has the skills to: - Based on planning and design, install and configure IT infrastructure - Based on planning and design, install and configure a complete infrastructure for public and private clouds as well as IaaS and PaaS - Based on planning and design, implement and automate solutions for server operating systems as well as client operating systems - Based on planning and design, implement advanced network solutions - Prevent and remedy common weaknesses in system security and networks - Based on planning and design, install and configure identity management and collaboration services such as M365 - Communicate technical undertakings and reports, and document work in both Swedish and English The graduate has the competence to: - Contribute specialised expertise in cloud services when planning, developing, implementing and documenting extensive infrastructure projects - Assist in planning and designing solutions based on the needs of clients and customers - Analyse and evaluate completed implementations, and troubleshoot and carry out improvements to them. - Pursue their own professional development by continuously keeping up with new cloud services. - With little preparation, obtain certification according to industry standards from major vendors.
