About the course This course is a basic introduction to the Canvas learning platform and aims to give the participant the skills needed to independently create and administer a course room in line with Karolinska Institutet's pedagogical guidelines. The course involves about 6 to 8 hours of work (self-study and practical exercises in Canvas). Learning outcomes: on completing the course, the participant shall be able to: - Navigate and customise a course room in Canvas based on KI's pedagogical guidelines. - Structure content with modules and pages so that it is accessible and easy to navigate. - Create and assess assignments using Speedgrader in Canvas. - Communicate with students through discussions, announcements and messages in Canvas. - Prepare the course room for publication by checking links, users and settings.
When you complete the course, KI - Karolinska Institutet issues your certificate. Your name, the course content and the issue date are encrypted and secured on blockchain, so it cannot be changed, and anyone can check that it is genuine.
