The course participant has received a basic review of the main principles of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the statutory requirements for processing personal data, and the conditions for consent. The course provides knowledge of an individual's right to have their registered personal data disclosed to them, the right to be informed about which personal data have been registered, and the right to correct or erase registered personal data. The course also provides insight into the technical and organisational rules for data handling, the need for built-in data protection measures, how personal data breaches are to be handled, how impact assessments are to be carried out, and the need for organisations to appoint a data protection officer. The course participant's knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has been demonstrated by passing an online exam covering the areas mentioned above.
