Electrical Design with BIM in Revit.

The purpose of the course is to give knowledge of BIM design using Revit and MagiCAD. The goal of the course is to gain a basic skill in BIM design and the software Revit and MagiCAD. On completing the programme, the student will have knowledge of - BIM nomenclature: NR, ISO 19650, BIM alliance and object models. - Electrical design & modelling in MagiCAD and Revit, including object models, database management and the structure of the tools. - Data, model and BIM coordination according to ITO, and clash detection. - Review and change processes according to BEAST in Bluebeam/sessions. - Exchange file formats ifc, bcf, dwg, rvt and others. On completing the programme, the student will have the skills to - Model, do quantity take-off and create drawings with the support of Revit. - Carry out clash detection with the support of Navisworks. - Coordinate models and data in Navisworks. - Review PDFs in Bluebeam using BEAST requirements. On completing the programme, the student will have the competence to - Use Revit to independently model electrical objects in the design process in the construction and facility management industry. - Use Navisworks to jointly review the different disciplines of the construction project, assess the outcome and propose solutions to different problems.
