Construction Documents Design for Architects.

Based on various completed architectural projects, the construction documents stage of the building process is covered. The course also covers the laws, norms, standards and forms of contract that an architect needs to relate to in order to produce the drawings and documents required to erect a building. The course takes a deep dive into the technical and performance requirements needed to meet the environmental and sustainability goals for buildings. The course also provides in-depth knowledge of the architect's role and how it relates to the other consultants in a project group. The course also gives a thorough understanding of the hierarchy of the internal design team and how responsibilities are distributed. The course also covers the impact of digitalisation on the design process. The course ends with a project in which the student independently produces a room specification, a technical specification and drawings in the form of construction documents for an architectural project.
