Medical Healthcare Administrator.

On completing the programme, the student shall have knowledge of/in: - administration and patient interaction in healthcare, - anatomy, physiology and pathology, - classification and coding of diagnoses and procedures in accordance with Socialstyrelsen's classification guidelines for outpatient and inpatient care, - medical terminology within the various medical specialties in accepted language, as well as current writing rules and guidelines for adapting terms to Swedish, - healthcare-related law, - IT and e-health relevant to the professional role, - the organisation, business development and financing of healthcare, and - specialised knowledge of medical documentation. On completing the programme, the student shall have the skills to: - produce high-quality medical documentation in correct language, - use the technology that medical healthcare administrators use in their work, and support other staff with IT-related questions, - work in accordance with applicable regulations, - contribute to business development, quality development and efficiency in healthcare, - carry out the administration that occurs in the professional role, and - collaborate with colleagues and other professions in teams, and together with them or individually identify and solve complex problems. On completing the programme, the student shall have the competence to: - independently and with good results carry out medical documentation and the tasks that fall to a medical healthcare administrator, and - identify the need for, and act on, business development and problem solving in healthcare, both within their own area of work and from a wider organisational perspective.
