About the course.

The course aims to give the student knowledge of how to exercise and maintain authority over the management of data and data-related assets. The student will also learn how a data governance strategy forms part of the organisation's digitalisation strategy. The goal is for the student to develop specialised knowledge of ensuring the relevance of data, and of monitoring changes in the outside world and making sure they do not affect the relevance, timeliness or quality of data. The student will also learn how a data governance solution is built with a framework, charter, policy and process and control rules, and how the data architecture can help the organisation achieve synergies that contribute to meeting operational goals. The student will develop skills in realising the goals of the organisation's digitalisation strategy by bringing all information assets and technology components together in a shared data governance strategy that applies best practice.
