About the course.

The course aims to give the student knowledge of data architecture as a tool for defining a plan for managing the organisation's data assets in line with a digitalisation strategy, and of how data architecture is used to set strategic requirements for integrated data use. The goal is that the student, through theory and practical exercises, develops specialised knowledge of how to use data architecture to create rules for how data is acquired, transported, stored and requested in an organisation. The student will also learn to handle the processes of data architecture, including the collection, use, processing, storage and integration of data in different systems, as well as the basics of building a relational database with SQL.
