Qualifying Preparatory Course in Programming 1.

Course objectives: The course Programming 1 within the BFU aims to give the student basic and vocationally relevant knowledge of programming, with a focus on practical problem solving and an understanding of how software is developed and used in working life. After completing the course, the student shall have developed the ability to plan, carry out and evaluate simpler programming tasks in a structured and methodical way. The course shall also help the student develop logical and analytical thinking. After completing the course the student shall be able to: - Use basic programming concepts and structures in practical applications. - Structure and solve simpler problems through programming based on given requirements and instructions. - Write, read and understand program code and document their work clearly and appropriately. - Test, debug and improve programs to ensure function and quality. Course content: The course covers basic programming in at least one text-based programming language and is clearly focused on practical application and links to working life. Teaching alternates theoretical elements with practical exercises that reflect realistic situations. Core content of the course: - Basic programming principles such as variables, data types, operators, conditional statements and loops. - Development of simpler programs with user interaction and a clear function. - Basic principles of good code quality, such as readability, structure, commenting and simple documentation.
