Programme objectives After completing the programme, the student shall have knowledge of 1. Generative AI tools and AI tools/Prompt Design as support in content creation such as research, idea generation, prototyping, testing and implementation, and an understanding of these 2. Using AI to understand and have empathy for users 3. Avoiding discrimination, bias and the reproduction of prejudice when using AI tools 4. The risks of using AI when producing new designs, and in testing and implementation 5. Using AI to test and validate design concepts After completing the programme, the student shall have the skills to 6. Develop the ability to use AI to create and improve design prototypes, and to generate and validate creative design ideas in order to collect and analyse user data such as behavioural analyses and sentiment analysis 7. Apply AI to quickly adapt and improve design prototypes based on test results, and to iterate and validate ideas and test different concepts against user data 8. Apply and use AI to implement design solutions effectively and adapt them based on user feedback 9. Apply AI tools to identify patterns and insights from user data that can be turned into defined design problems 10. Incorporate AI into the implementation process to streamline and optimise design solutions 11. Apply AI to generate and edit text content such as microcopy and social media posts, and to help create clear and precise problem statements based on user risks 12. Create visual design elements such as wireframes and journey maps using AI tools 13. Integrate AI tools for idea generation, such as algorithmic solutions for generating design concepts based on user data and trends, and streamline the process of defining design problems using AI analyses 14. Carry out user tests with AI tools to collect and analyse feedback 15. Carry out research with regard to confidentiality and GDPR 16. Work proactively with copyright issues 17. Analyse, evaluate and take into account ethical risks of using AI in research and idea generation 18. Evaluate and take into account ethical risks of using AI in prototyping, testing and implementation After completing the programme, the student shall have the competences to 19. Take responsibility for, and independently carry out, a UX/UI project that uses AI in the design phases: empathise, define and ideate 20. Take responsibility for, and independently carry out, projects that use AI in each phase of prototyping, testing and implementation 21. Independently carry out a UX/UI project that emphasises the use of AI in order to reflect on and benefit from using AI in the design process 22. Independently carry out a UX/UI project that emphasises the use of AI to improve and refine the design process 23. Independently use AI to continuously improve the design based on user feedback and emerging trends 24. Take responsibility for, and independently create, AI-generated personas based on collected data to gain a deeper understanding of users' needs and behaviour
