Machine Elements is a 40 YH credit course at TUC Yrkeshögskola where you develop knowledge and understanding of applying mechanics and strength of materials to structural elements, as well as sizing motors and springs. Through theory and practical exercises, you develop an understanding of machine elements and can calculate the forces and movements acting on structures with regard to strength and mechanics. After the course, you can present calculation results and suggest improvements to a design. The course is part of TUC's programme for CAD designers.

Duration: 8 weeks
Language: Swedish
Level: Advanced
CSN-eligible

Time commitment: Full-time study corresponding to 40 YH credits (approx. 8 weeks)

About the course.

The course aims for the student to develop knowledge and understanding of applying mechanics and strength of materials to structural elements, as well as sizing motors and springs. The goal of the course is for the student, through theory and practical exercises, to develop understanding and knowledge of machine elements in order to calculate the forces and movements acting on structures with regard to strength and mechanics. After completing the course, the students will be able to present these and suggest changes to improve the design. After completing the course, the student has the competence to understand and present the results of calculations in mechanics and strength of materials.
