Purpose The course aims to strengthen the supervisor's knowledge and competence regarding student learning in workplace-based education, and to encourage a reflective and academic approach in connection with pedagogical activities in workplace-based education. Learning objectives After completing the course, participants should be able to: - apply knowledge of pedagogical theories relevant to student learning in workplace-based education - reflect on the student's perspective on learning and supervision - describe and analyze a teaching/supervision situation from different pedagogical perspectives Content and working methods The course is carried out in the following steps: 1. An introductory digital session where learning and pedagogical theories relevant to workplace-based education are discussed 2. Independent work on a written assignment that forms part of the examination. The assignment consists of planning and carrying out a teaching session. 3. A concluding digital session that includes an oral presentation and interprofessional reflection on the written examination assignment. The course is given within the framework of a collaboration between Karolinska Institutet, Marie Cederschiöld högskola, Röda Korsets Högskola, Sophiahemmet Högskola and Region Stockholm.
