Commercial Law gives you knowledge of the legal rules that govern financial transactions and business dealings. You practise proposing solutions to legal problems and issues within commercial law and applying central legal concepts and methods to draw up legal documents. The course prepares you for your future professional role as an accounting economist, where you must be able to identify and solve complex legal issues in business law and reflect on the consequences of solutions.

The purpose of the course is to provide knowledge of the legal rules that govern financial transactions and dealings. The student shall be able to propose solutions to legal problems and issues within commercial law. The student shall also be able to apply central legal concepts and methods in order to draw up legal documents that may occur within the programme's area of competence. Furthermore, the student shall be able to reflect critically on complex legal positions in the areas covered by the course. The goal of the course is for the student to gain basic knowledge of, show understanding of and be able to apply the legal sources that fall within the legal area of the course. The student shall be able to identify and solve complex legal issues in the area and reflect on the reasonableness, benefit and consequences of solutions.
