Electrical Theory for Maintenance Technicians is a 45 YH credit course at TUC Yrkeshögskola where you learn to carry out electrical work corresponding to authorisation B (ELSÄK-FS 2017:4) and prepare for the role of maintenance technician. You gain knowledge of the structure and function of the electrical system, including direct current circuits, single-phase and three-phase alternating current circuits, protective earth conductors and transformations. The course also covers electrical theory, electrical materials, enclosure classes and electrical safety (CE marking/ESA-14), as well as reading drawings and wiring diagrams, measuring electrical quantities and troubleshooting electrical systems. You train practically in a small group.
