Description of the program's content and goals After completing the program you shall have knowledge of/in: - Planning, carrying out, leading and following up building and civil engineering projects - Control and information management in building projects - Design and production planning in building/civil engineering - Various tools for CAD/BIM coordination - Being able to build 3D models of buildings - Customer-adapted communication - Algebraic calculation and the role of mathematics in building projects - Legislation and industry norms that affect professional practice - Energy optimization and energy requirements - Building technology and building physics and their impact on buildings - Design and production planning in building/civil engineering - Methods for knowledge development in the field After completing the program you shall have the skills to: - Apply methods to calculate power and energy demand for transmission and ventilation for a building - Apply methods to keep financial control of projects, to calculate and forecast income and costs, and to report financial results - Assess and apply legal documents in building projects - Carry out or take part in design work and document requirements for final delivery - Assess the conditions for, and carry out, energy-saving measures - Draw buildings in 2D and 3D using various software - Identify, formulate, analyze and solve complex building and civil engineering problems - Use various practical methods, tools and techniques to plan, carry out and close projects in building and civil engineering - Apply various methods to solve building-related mathematical problems - Assess and apply regulations for building projects - Communicate commitments, problems and solutions with customers and other stakeholders After completing the program you shall have the competence to: - Independently take responsibility for the building and civil engineering process - Independently be responsible for building engineering projects - Communicate building engineering problems and solutions inside and outside the organization - Initiate, draw, deliver and document CAD/BIM models for clients - Make correct financial and legal assessments - Collaborate with customers, colleagues, authorities and other stakeholders. - Assess their own and other people's competence and develop themselves and others in their work - Initiate and carry out efficiency improvements to better reach set goals
