Control and Regulation Engineering, 15 YH credits, provides knowledge of how a SCADA system is built and works, as well as the ability to operate it at user level. You learn to interpret operating cards and flow diagrams, understand the difference between field, DUC and SCADA level, and identify faults in control and regulation systems in building and property automation. The course also provides knowledge of energy efficiency measures from a control and regulation engineering perspective.
In the course, the student learns how control and regulation engineering is used in production. The course covers techniques and equipment for planning, installing, maintaining and commissioning control processes. At the end of the course, the student shall be able to handle and optimise control systems so that, in their future role as an Automation Engineer, they can troubleshoot and work preventively in control systems.

How a SCADA system works and is operated at user level.
Reading, interpreting and drawing up operating cards and understanding flow diagrams.
Field level, DUC level and SCADA level, and standardised signals.
Identifying faults in the system and proposing energy efficiency measures.
The course suits future operations technicians and property technicians who work with control and monitoring systems in buildings.
When you complete the course, TUC Yrkeshögskola issues your certificate. Your name, the course content and the issue date are encrypted and secured on blockchain, so it cannot be changed, and anyone can check that it is genuine.
