Odontology 1, 40 YH credits, gives you knowledge of cariology, endodontics and periodontology, and the development, diagnosis and treatment of oral diseases. The course also covers oral radiology, X-ray physics and radiation safety for a safe way of working as a dental nurse. You practise assisting with dental treatments within the course areas in groups.

The course shall give theoretical knowledge of, and develop the ability to assist with and carry out, tasks such as informing and instructing patients in order to prevent caries and periodontitis.

Root canal treatment and gum diseases.
