LIA1, 45 YH credits, is the first of two workplace-based LIA courses in TUC's YH programme for maintenance technicians. The knowledge from earlier courses is put into practice and deepened through hands-on work at a company. You take part in the tasks of the professional role, the company's culture and how people work together at the workplace, and under supervision you carry out work according to the company's routines and processes. After the course, you have gained experience of working with maintenance and can analyse the practical work.
After completing the course, the student will be able to put into practice and apply the theoretical knowledge acquired during the studies within the subject area. The student will take an active part in the daily work at the LIA placement and be given the opportunity to apply newly gained knowledge and to reflect on and analyse their work. Practical performance of assignments within a chosen subject area, focusing on the supervisory role in food service operations.
