LIA (Learning in Work) is the workplace-based part of TUC's higher vocational education programmes, where you train and apply your theoretical knowledge at an employer within your future professional role. This entry is a general template and framework for how an LIA course should be designed at TUC and is used internally by programme managers to ensure a consistent structure across programmes. Scope, number of LIA periods and exact goals vary between TUC's different YH programmes. Contact the relevant programme for the specific requirements of that particular LIA period.
