The LIA 1 course gives students the opportunity to apply and deepen their knowledge of alarm and security technology through practical work at a workplace. Under supervision, students take part in professional tasks that correspond to the content of the programme, with a particular focus on linking theory to practice. The course includes practical participation in work tasks within alarm and security technology and application of the theoretical elements covered in previous courses. Students are also introduced to project work and have the opportunity to take responsibility for simpler project management. It further includes documentation of work processes and learning, reflection on their own professional role and skills development, and observation and analysis of the requirements of the profession and how their own abilities can be developed in relation to those requirements.

Kursen LIA 1 ger den studerande möjlighet att tillämpa och fördjupa sina kunskaper inom larm- och säkerhetsteknik genom praktiskt arbete på en arbetsplats. Under handledning deltar den studerande i yrkesmässiga uppgifter som motsvarar utbildningens innehåll, med särskilt fokus på att koppla teori till praktik. Kursen innefattar praktiskt deltagande i arbetsuppgifter inom larm- och säkerhetsteknik samt tillämpning av de teoretiska moment som behandlats i tidigare kurser. Den studerande introduceras även till projektarbete och får möjlighet att ta ansvar för enklare projektledning. Vidare ingår dokumentation av arbetsprocesser och lärande, reflektion kring den egna yrkesrollen och kompetensutvecklingen samt observation och analys av vilka krav som ställs inom yrket och hur den egna förmågan kan utvecklas i relation till dessa krav.
