LIA 1 (Lärande i arbete, Learning at Work) is the first placement period in your YH programme at TUC, where you put earlier knowledge into practice at a workplace. You take part independently and actively in the daily work in your field, for example following up processes, risk assessments and internal audits, depending on the programme. You develop a deeper understanding of the industry and your future professional role through a placement combined with reflection and supervision.
The aim of the course is for students to get to know the work environment and gain experience of daily routines at a foot care clinic, and experience of receiving and treating clients/patients. Students will gain experience of hygiene routines and clinic and instrument hygiene. The goal of the course is for students, under supervision, to gain experience of assisting with simpler foot care treatments. The course takes place at a foot care clinic and includes tasks in medical foot therapy.
