In the course, the knowledge from earlier courses in the programme is to be applied and deepened through experience and practical action, and the student is to learn new things within the framework of the professional role. The learning objectives of the course mainly concern the student carrying out the work tasks that the professional role involves at a dental clinic. Under supervision, the student shall assist during treatments, provide information about oral hygiene, and take part in and carry out preventive treatments. The course is the second of three LIA courses, and LIA 2 includes acting independently in the professional role.
