In the course, the knowledge from previous courses in the programme is to be turned into experience and practical action, and the student is to learn new things within the framework of the professional role. The learning outcomes of the course mainly concern the student having taken part in tasks at a dental clinic, such as hygiene routines, and gaining experience of assisting with simpler dental treatments. Under supervision, the student shall carry out work in accordance with the routines and processes that apply at the workplace. The course is the first of three LIA courses. On completing the course, the student shall have gained an overview of the work in the dental team with all its professional competences.
