The degree project is the final course of your higher vocational education programme at TUC, where you apply the knowledge, skills and competences from the programme in a defined project within the industry. You define a problem, search for and structure information, and analyse the results to produce a concrete proposal for a solution or change. The work is often linked to leadership and, in several programmes, is carried out in parallel with LIA. You present the results both in writing in a report and orally to an audience.
The purpose of the course is, based on acquired knowledge, skills and competences, to develop a degree project in the form of a real product such as an application, feature, integration or similar. The work is to be carried out individually or in groups. Students plan, carry out and document a project and develop suggestions for improvements to each other's work. The opponent group writes a test report on the tests performed, supplemented with suggestions for improvements. The results are presented both in writing and orally. The goal of the course is for students to turn their in-depth theoretical knowledge of systems development into a practical degree project. In this way, after completing the programme, students gain an advantage in their future job search by being able to show a product they have developed themselves.
