The degree project is the final course in your YH programme at TUC, where you apply the knowledge, skills and competences from the programme in a defined project in the industry. You define a problem, search for and structure information, and analyse the results to produce a concrete proposal for a solution or change. The work is often linked to leadership and in several programmes is carried out in parallel with LIA. You present the results both in writing in a report and orally to an audience.
In the course, the student learns to plan and carry out projects in the role of KMA coordinator (quality, environment and work environment). Based on acquired knowledge, skills and competences, the student shall produce a degree project in the form of a defined project in the industry, which shall also be linked to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The course covers methods and ways of working for developing and presenting a degree project, and for solving problems independently, that is, defining problems, searching for and structuring information and presenting results in order to develop a proposal for a solution or change. The course requires the student to be able to reason about the chosen subject and method and to critically review and act as opponent on another project. The course includes an oral presentation.
