Ethics and Professional Approach, 15 YH credits, trains you to identify, reflect on and analyse ethical dilemmas in work with people. You learn professional approaches towards service users and their networks and how to contribute to shared core values in the organisation. The course prepares you for your future role as a support educator, with a focus on identifying relationships of power and dependency in everyday life. The course is part of TUC's support educator programme.

In the course the student learns professional approaches towards the individual and their network, and ways of working to strengthen the shared core values of an organisation. The course also gives training in identifying, reflecting on and analysing ethical dilemmas. By the end of the course, the student shall, in their future role as a support educator, be able to identify relationships of power and dependency in the individual's everyday life and contribute to an ethically defensible approach towards the individual.
