Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a framework for designing educational environments that are accessible and effective for all learners, regardless of their individual differences. The framework is based on three principles which are introduced in this course. Learners are encouraged to reflect on small changes that they can make to their teaching practice to make it more inclusive according to UDL. By completing the modules in this course the participant should be able to: Address common misconceptions about what UDL means in terms of differentiation, accessibility and accommodations Explain the basics behind the three principles of the UDL framework Demonstrate knowledge of learner variability Reflect on how the UDL framework can be used as a blueprint to design inclusive teaching Plan for one UDL design principle in the creation of learning content Participants have reflected on how they can use the UDL framework as a blueprint for implementing change in their teaching practice.
